UUUUUUGH I hate Illustrator so much. Photoshop is easier to use. However, I did manage to make a 3d vase. TAKE THAT LEARNING CUVE!
Let it be known that Illustrator is mean and confusing and none of the tutorials help. They assume you know everything already.
Sadly, those were like the easiest tutorials I could find, unless you wanted to start with the very basic 'how to open an image' style videos. I also find illustrator much more callous than photoshop, but it can produce amazing work if you spend the time to learn it.
